Joan Zygmunt

In twenty five years as a professional artist, Joan Zygmunt has sculpted in wood, bronze, silver and stone. Her work has found its way across the United States and around the world. Her sculpture has been exhibited in such prestigious venues as The White House, Washington DC; Birds in Art, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum; Sculpture in the Park, Loveland, CO; A Celebration of Birds, at the North American Ornithological Conference; and Brookgreen Gardens, Pawleys Island, SC.

Recently, her Meadowlark Sculpture has become part of the permanent collection of The White House.

Often combining her love of painting with her sculpture, Joan Zygmunt's work expresses a harmonious and graceful quality that has been described as “poetry that you can touch.”
“My sculpture is the culmination of my work as an artist in many mediums and my life-long experiences in the natural world. It is an expression of those emotions and experiences in a three-dimensional form that can be touched and held. Whether it is observing the migration of cranes over the mountains or a close encounter with a herd of wild horses, my motivation is to share the joy and beauty of those experiences with the viewer.”
